Retail Market Planner (Web / VR / Leap Motion)

Description

The Market Planner is a 3D web application that allows you to open a 3D market architecture and fill it with furnishings from a 3D library. The market can be viewed with VR glasses. The application also supports the Leap Motion hand tracking system to use your own hands in VR. The challenge with Market Planner lies in the connection of different data sources. Architectural data comes from Autodesk Revit or Nemetschek Allplan, fixtures from Autodesk Inventor and are visually reworked in Keyshot, advertising is only available in the form of 2D images and products are not available at all and have to be products are not available at all and have to be mass digitized via a 3D scanning and optimization process. The Market Planner serves several departments for different use cases and should support prototypes and decision support. In addition, individual 3D models from the Market Planner are also to be available via AR to place them in the real market. In the course of this, I realized a prototype that demonstrates the feasibility of the project and forms the basis for further development. I was responsible for the technical conception as well as the usability of the system and also supported the topic of cloud rendering and product digitization.
