VR interior bi-color editor

Description

If a car manufacturer offers bi-color colors in the interior, he has to decide which components have to be produced in which color. This decision was made by fixed photos or renderings from fixed perspectives. Sometimes, however, not all components were visible and so the problem was not recognized until the vehicle was already built. This leads to high costs when correcting the interior design.

A virtual reality solution was developed to facilitate the interior design process. The user could select the components and declare them as a bi-color top or down variant. The top down variant was displayed in a high-contrast editor mode. The user could also place different materials on the components. To check the configuration, the user could go through all color variants.
