AI based 3D Model Classification Benchmark

To classify 3D models within a 3D database, an AI based method was developed. First, the 3D models were rendered from different perspectives. The resulting image was classified using an Image Classification AI. The resulting results were summarized using different methods and matched with an AI based language model. Example: Dog -> Hypernym: Animal.

An evaluation was made over different Image Classification networks & datasets. An evaluation of the summarizing methods and AI language models was also done to get the highest possible success rate.
